The cabover is our 1981 Freightliner 96" cab that we use occasionally for emergencies, but primarily for antique truck shows and events put on by the antique truck clubs around New England. It's a sweet running 3406A Caterpillar, a 15 speed double over on 44K lb. Rockwells with Airliner suspension. It's just plain fun having this one around...

Eliminate costly brokerage fees and the extra confusion associated with 3rd party logistics...Call Iron Mountain Iron & Equipment, llc and deal directly with the professionals that do the boots-in-the-field work.

I appreciate older trucks and equipment for their simplicity and especially, their dependability nowadays with all the new high-tech/high maintanence and high downtime that is the norm now, with all of the overwhelming electronics and emissions systems that are on newer vehicles these days.

This particular truck pictured is a 1978 Kenworth W900A that is in service daily, running all over the New England area and beyond hauling for dealers, homeowners, buyers and sellers...and for ourselves as we buy and sell all types of equipment as well as transport for others.

Over this past winter we brought it inside the shop and repainted it, and freshened up the chrome and stainless jewelry a bit, while adding some more shine and a little different color scheme than it was last season. Still a work in progress as we use it every day, it has some new parts awaiting mounting and some interior work to do yet...but it's nothing short of a good time rolling down the highway with this beautiful old restored KW as she earns her way. It provides a huge sense of pride and accomplishment while keeping in tune with the historical and nostalgic value associated with the vintage equipment we like to use in our daily activities.

Power comes from a 3406 PCTA Caterpillar engine, a 13 speed transmission and a set of Rockwell 4:33 gears.

Our tractor is a 2000 Kenworth W900L, that is powered by an ISX Signature 565 first generation Cummins engine, an 18 speed, and 3:55 Rockwell rears. It is currently undergoing a complete engine restoration from the bottom up to freshen it up and give us many more years of trouble free service without the layers of electronics and emissions systems hindering it's daily performance.
